Howden Rotary

Thanks to Howden Rotary who donated £1000 to the Daisy Appeal, which was raised at the club's AM-AM golf day.

Angelic Angels

Big thank you to Darcey Wood, Georgia Hornbrook and Lauren Mason, all 10 years old and attend Brough Primary School. Known as the 'Angelic Angels' they spent their summer holiday raising funds and have donated £169.61. By using their initiative, they canvassed friends and neighbours for unwanted gifts, which they then sold at a tabletop sale. The girls have agreed to continue their fund raising for the Daisy Appeal!

Fitmums and Friends based in Cottingham have raised nearly £1000 by taking part in the 2011 Lyke Wake walk. The team split the distance, which is a gruelling 42 miles across the whole North Yorkshire Moors, in relay fashion.

In memory of Margaret Young

Thank you to Debra Hales and Sarah Young who, in memory of their Mum, Margaret Young, have hosted two events this year. Firstly hitting the high notes with a karaoke night at the Old Zoological on Princes Avenue, followed by a sponsored head shave, both events raised over £2,000 for the Daisy Appeal!
